Pickens High School Faculty

Attendance is very important.  If a student misses more than 5 days per semester, credit is denied for the class unless an appeal is granted.  The student must go through the appeals process to receive credit.    Make-up work is the sole responsibility of the student.  Please make up work as soon as possible upon returning to school.

Accelerated Math I
Accelerated 9th grade students taking this class cover all Math I standards PLUS half of the Math II standards.

Semester averages are determined as follows:
     1st semester average     42.5%
     2nd semester  average   42.5%                                                                                          semester exam  or EOCT   15%    

Math I with Support
A year long class for 9th grade students taking Math I.

AP Calculus
Open to students who have taken all college prep math courses including trig. Students may earn college credit with a score of 3 or higher on the AP Test in May.
