The mission of the Pickens High School Art Department is to promote interest in the creation of 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art through the use of artistic mediums and techniques. The PHS Art Department strives to enlighten students to the history and appreciation of art as well as multicultural art exploration and experimentation.
The primary purpose of the PHS Art Club is to promote school spirit by creating art for sale, designing and constructing props and decorations for our fun Halloween Dance, creating seasonal window designs, supporting community events, and participating in various art shows and competitions. The Art Club is for students enrolled in various levels of art as well as interested participants who are unable to attend art classes each semester.
